Crystal Bella Page 13

Looking at Ethan she found his glow made her want to share. She felt she could tell him anything and he would listen and understand. So she spoke about her old life with how on the surface it seemed all good. She was a professor, her husband a top banker. They lived in a nice area, they got on well. As she spoke she realized what was missing, it sounded empty when she heard her own words. What she was missing was a true connection from the soul and living life more fully. There was also no passion with her and her husband. As she kept talking about her old life, she found herself bitching about her husband and couldn’t stop. Ethan and her were suddenly like two kids as she spoke about his boring ways, his long hours and how he didn’t really dig music. Ethan listened and maybe fed it a little.

When they hit the shore and were ready to return the boat, she looked at Ethan. She had a small knot in her stomach and Ethan could sense it too.

“That was a little depressing wasn’t it?” she said.

“It’s okay, I know how it is. Sometimes you have to bring something up to clear it, release it.”

“I don’t like talking about him around you.”

Ethan could read her thoughts. He knew she had to say something and she was struggling with the timing of it all. She had said it but it gave her a negative feeling and the one who could understand and care for her, Ethan, was the one she would rather not say anything to. But she had too, and she didn’t want to share something that could make her appear less than perfect. Ethan understood but he also knew they had to unravel what had to be spoken about. They had to enter, they had to go within and face their demons to move through the layers and get to the highest level. They had to go there.

“You know, Kali everything in your past has led you to this point and you are here in my life. So you have to thank that old person for getting you here. The day you rocked up into my life, your history, your past was already there, it was formed and it was yours not mine. I know from that day on you’ve always been so pure and angelic to yourself and me.”

When Ethan looked at her all she saw was love. In that moment it was like the face of her own angel. He looked at her with unconditional love. It was pure and it showed on all his face. His eyes were deep and green and when she looked into them, any ache she ever had was lost in those eyes that just had love. No one had ever looked at her like that. She was having a déjà vu experience. It was as if she had been looking for this moment her whole life, for a man to look at her in this way. She had been searching for it and was now found, but didn’t even know she had been looking until now. The mystery was unfolding before her. She almost looked stunned to Ethan. Another layer he had not seen before but was unfolding before him. They were becoming creatures of another time, their beauty igniting each other. The expressions on their face derived from their souls showing their destiny formed centuries ago. It made them shine together in the universe’s shadow. It was like Gods tear had fallen upon them and they saw their love so crystal clear.

It was 11am, a new day and Ethan knew he had to get up. He had fallen into a deep sleep and had not awoken until 10am. He had the day off from college and was just waiting to get a call from Christian to meet up for a coffee.

Ethan eventually got up and walked around in his boxers. Elisabeth was at work and he walked into the kitchen and grinded himself a coffee. The view of the sea, the wooden floors on his bare feet made him feel pretty special. He always liked the feel of wood, especially on his skin. It seemed alive, like he could feel their original place, out in the forest where the wood had come from. That energy seemed to stay there and connect to him. It grounded him having the feeling of the wood on his feet. Coffee also grounded him, the initial hit, the slight buzz, it made him feel positive.

Ethan knew he would be seeing Kali tomorrow at class but for now he had to just wait for Christian to call. He felt a bit restless and bored just waiting. Ethan didn’t like to wait. He didn’t like the moment when you had made up your mind on something but there was a wait of an hour or so, he just wanted to be there now. Eventually the phone rang and it was Christian. He was with Carl and they had arranged a ride to Edgeoholic cafe. Ethan was happy, a nice relaxed, free day and it was sunny. Ethan needed light, his house had so much light. He had realized he needed that when he stayed at an old friend’s place once. He was there only for three hours and the darkness of the house got to him a little. Three hours he could handle it but all the time he was like, no way. Different if it was night time, dark could be cool, being at one with the elements, but during daytime Ethan needed light.

Ethan pulled into Edgeoholic cafe. It hit him then, the experience he had the last time he was there, the moment before the old lady. Wow, time is speeding up, it seemed so long ago now.

Earlier in the day Christian had been talking to Amelia. She was sweet and calm in her energy. The only problem was their time was always so brief, passing through, one minute here and there. It was just after he saw her that he bumped into Chuck and it wasn’t the first time Chuck had been around him either. The other day he was close by and annoying in his presence. He was just chatting away about nothing, trying to be cool but it all seemed false and unnatural. Chuck had seen him earlier in the day.

“Hey Christian, I wanted to ask if you don’t mind, could I score off you? For the college party.”

Just out of the blue, thank goodness for Ethan.

“You know I occasionally may use that stuff, but rarely and I don’t have any.

“I was sure you dealt it.”

“No just a regular college guy who likes to party.”

“Sure, do you know who I can score from?”

  “Um…try Carl maybe.”

  “Carl? Oh, okay.”

“Good luck,” Christian said and walked away.

He didn’t feel scared, he felt more annoyed, angry that he was playing a game with him, pretending to be nice. It just made Christian’s blood boil. What made him more agitated without really knowing was how he had to appear nice and apply that superficial kindness in his conversation. It bugged him to be false, but he had no choice. He had to be diplomatic.

Christian had played it well, but the game Chuck was playing and the way it was making Christian feel was going to come to a head, where one would get hurt. When confrontation came Christian’s way he would exert his aggression. He was like a Pit Bull when he felt threatened and would attack.

Ethan walked into the Cafe. Christian and Carl had found a cozy seat near the window in a booth. Just as he saw them he noticed Natasha walking through. It had an unusual feel to see her, something had changed, he didn’t get the pit in his stomach. He felt compassion towards her. He felt that sense of forgiveness and wanted to be friends.

Ethan sat down with Christian and Carl. They spoke briefly about the other day with the old lady and Ethan reassured them that nothing would come of it. Christian talked about Amelia.

“The problem is I’m just not getting enough time with her. One minute here, one minute there.”

“Well, you’re gonna have to spend time with her to find out whether there’s a connection,” Ethan said.

You just can’t keep playing it like a child, Christian. A crush from just 10 seconds of talking to her,” Carl added.

“I know, I know,” Christian said.

“Yeah you are just going to have to make time, and if it doesn’t happen, you will just have to be direct and ask her out,” Ethan said.

“Okay, thanks for the advice. She is just very sweet and...” He paused and made a funny gesture holding up his hands and clenching his teeth, “Intimidating almost.”

“If she smells fear she’ll think you’re a pussy. Don’t be afraid of her beauty,” Ethan said.

He could be so direct and it sometimes made others uncomfortable, just the directness with his assessment with someone else’s emotions. It was often direct, honest and a little nerve wreaking for some to hear.

  Christian was afraid of h
er beauty. Very little feared him but a beautiful, rich girl was making him shy, insecure and if he was true to himself, Ethan was right, he was afraid of the beauty in woman. It was one of those deep assessments that most would never get to know about but Ethan had seen it in others. He had seen how some waiters had clammed up and became nervous around Natasha, her beauty could intimidate some men. A man being afraid of a woman’s beauty sounded silly but Ethan had seen it and he knew Christian had to recognize it first, then he could clear it.

As Christian pondered Ethan’s words, Natasha turned up to take their order. She looked gorgeous as usual and when Ethan looked at her he felt all her emotions. She looked and felt as if she was going through a hard time. Ethan had always found it hard to detach himself from her stuff, her life. Ethan’s mom had told him once.

“You’re rescuing her. Stop it please. It’s an old pattern of yours and it gets you nowhere.”

It was true. Now that he was moving on from her, he felt compassion. He couldn’t unravel it, but the beauty of Natasha in this moment and with him loving someone else gave him a mix of emotions he had not felt before. Again all he could feel was compassion with it all. The essence of it was Ethan was becoming so more exact with his soul, one with the soul. The soul came from a place of so much depth and love and understanding and at night in the ether when Ethan had seen Natasha, but couldn’t remember now, there was that deep understanding and love. Natasha just couldn’t apply that in this world with all her past. It was not Ethan’s issue but his soul understood. It was the unconditional vibration he had experienced in the ether with Kali, that knowing love. It was like that was entering him now. He knew one day they would be in the afterlife in purity and laugh about their time together. She would always be special to Ethan, his soul understood her mind, her inability to accept his love, how she was not used to it, but one day she would free herself and accept that deep, unconditional, sensitive love from a male.

Natasha took their orders, then Christian brought up the subject of Chuck.

“You’re so right, Ethan, Chuck has been around me like a rash. He asked for drugs off me today.”

  “Really?”

“I said I don’t deal, just played it cool, I said very little. I told him to try you Carl.”

Ethan laughed, and like a kid with Christian seeing Ethan laughing he cracked up too.

  “You dick,” Carl said.

“Don’t worry, Carl, he didn’t believe me, you’re far too innocent looking,” Christian said.

“So Chuck is really a cop, just pretending to be a student?” Carl asked.

“Yep, bang on man,” Christian said.

“It’s a little intense, you’re just doing some part time trading and now we have this going on,” Carl said.

“Maybe he’s just a junior cop, doing small stuff, jay walking, parking tickets and now going after Christian,” Ethan said and Carl started laughing.

“It’s not that funny…. he’s definitely a cop though isn’t he?” Christian asked, already knowing the answer.

  “Yep,” Ethan said.

“I guess he has to be, unless he’s just a needy type of friend,”

“If he isn’t a cop then I would be more worried, I’d be like what does this dude want?” Ethan said smiling.

“Yeah, we would be like, Christian run man! He isn’t a cop! Run!” Carl said and Ethan and Carl were really laughing, Christian was unsure whether to laugh or not. Ethan kept going with it.

“Yeah I’ll be like I might have got it wrong, Christian he’s not a cop, get out of here! What does he want? Run man!”

Ethan and Carl kept going with it, saying Chuck was stalking him for no reason, then they relaxed on Christian and like always returned to their everyday trivial stuff, talking about the coffee, the extra rip in Ethan’s jeans and Carl spoke of a dream he had of the three of them having a coffee together. No interpretation on that dream required, Ethan thought.

  ~ CHAPTER TEN ~

  HOUSE OF HEARTS

It was just after midnight, Ethan’s eyes were heavy and he could feel something around him, it was the presence of Kali. Kali was asleep in her bed and her soul had left her body and had come over to find Ethan. Her soul was waiting for Ethan to fall asleep and when he did, she would be with him in the ether.

Ethan was half asleep and he could feel her presence around him, so clear for him now and then the moment came when his soul almost left his body, but came back and he got that shock that people get when their soul leaves and returns to the body, that jolt when you’re half asleep. Ethan could feel Kali next to him and said in his head, ‘I’ll be there in a moment.’ Then moments later he fell asleep and before he could get close to the ether, Kali was on him, like a vampire almost, and Ethan realized how much Kali’s soul wanted him. Kali had not felt this love her whole life and now she was like a hunter taking down her prey. Her prey was Ethan and Ethan was bombarded with her presence. It was strong, she took him.

Ethan started heading up into the air, Kali was pulling him up. Ethan laughed, she was so intense tonight, like a vampire who had not touched blood for a thousand years and here it was all before her. She seemed raw tonight, her passion overwhelming. It was like she had waited for eternity for Ethan to arrive and now she needed him, and he was chosen.

As she raised Ethan up, Kali focused her desires and manifested a new place. The soul could do this in the ether, go to another plane in a moment. They were now in an ancient, huge villa. It seemed familiar to Ethan, but he couldn’t quite figure how. It was a special place. Wooden features, big windows and a roaring open fire. It was very spacious. All the rooms came together in an open plan way, they fitted so well, all coming together, all symbolic of their lives together. It was a house but it was also symbolic of their hearts.

Kali had her arms wrapped around Ethan and they glided into the air. She looked at him with all her passion. He wondered if she was going to bite his neck, she had so much desire oozing out of her. As they moved through the air, they came to the ceiling of the house. There was a spectacular chandelier light that had diamonds within it and those diamonds had a story. They had been in the earth once a long time ago, they had seen the past, they had once been on the fingers of both Kali and Ethan. Now they had emerged again and shined their beauty in the house of hearts.

Kali and Ethan stood there in the air, next to the light under the ceiling. Somehow the ceiling was see through, even with its classic wooden features, the beams going through to one another, they were transparent. Kali wanted Ethan to look above and see something, but before he could, as he read her thoughts, she wrapped her legs around him and kissed his mouth. She bit his lip, softly, but as she did, an image of blood trickled down Ethan’s mouth and it fell away and splashed onto the wooden floor below. It splashed out for both souls to see, and it formed a contract and in the contract was their portion about their love, just theirs and what they had agreed to before this life.

A contract of a thousand years manifested by love. The blood flowed down and went into the cracks of the floorboards, then it went into the ground and found itself running through the earth, feeding the earth, spreading out. Then it condensed again, retracted but it left its imprint upon mother earth, then returned to the form of the full blood.

It was time for Ethan to look up now and he did. Above was an extended balcony and there were two women on it. One looked like Natasha and the other Ethan couldn’t quite see, she was high above. Then Ethan realized how he had recognized the house he was in. It was the same house he went into when he had a dream just as he was about to break up with Natasha. In the dream a lady had showed him all around this house, showed him all the layers and how they were all connected. It was at that time, in the dream that he realized he wanted big, not small. Natasha sometimes wanted a small home, cozy and little and Ethan started to be drawn to that, but when he had the dream of the house of hearts, he realized, no he wanted this, a big house. The dream was telling him he needed a big hear
t like his own, and she would come, a match of his.
